How it works
The solar panels in your roof absorbs sunshine in the form of direct current (DC) power. Tucked beneath each panel, a microinverter converts that DC power to alternating current (AC), the form of electricity your home can use.

No matter what, you’ll deal with panels operating at different levels of efficiency (an occurrence known as module mismatch).
